Things to Know

Kathy Kelly is a longtime artist and floral designer.  She lives in the greater-New Castle, PA area with her husband Dave, father Bob, and dog Beau.  She also has a son, Cory, and step-daughter, Alice.

Kathy does beautiful work.  When you ask Kathy to work on a project in your home, make sure that you have prepared the space ahead of time.  Make sure that the background color for the mural has already been painted on the wall and that all woodwork and anything that you do NOT want paint on has been covered with drop clothes and/or has been taped off.  Make sure that any furniture in the room is well out of the way of the work area.  It would be best to cover furniture as well.  Make sure that she has access to an area with water for cleaning brushes and paint supplies.  Ventilation and good lighting are also important considerations when asking her to work in your home.

Be prepared ahead of time with ideas of what you would like painted.  Have pictures ready to use as examples of the types of images you would like painted.

Please understand that Kathy also has a full-time job as a florist and cares for her elderly, disabled father. Her schedule for in-home painting is limited, but she is also very flexible.  Certain times of the year are busier than others for her.  Christmas, Mother's Day, Prom Season, etc. are very hectic times in the floral industry! Having said this, she also does beautiful floral arrangements if there is a piece you have in mind for your home!

Prices for murals, art pieces, and arrangements will vary depending on the desires of the client.
